5 tips to aid weight-loss
Chew your food! Eating mindfully allows your digestion to be less stressed and your body has time to recognise when it’s full, which it doesn’t if we eat it as soon as it enters our mouths!
Drinking a glass of water 5 minutes before meals means you are less likely to over eat by not mistaking thirst for hunger! It also helps with digestion.
Choose organic wherever you can! These foods take the load off your liver and are easily digested and absorbed which in turn can lead to faster metabolism!
Eat more raw foods! Increasing your intake of fresh, organic raw fruits and veggies supplies your body with high quality nutrition, meaning you don’t need as many calories to get the nutrition you need! Aim for 50% raw in a day – A super easy way to do this is to blend up a banana, some berries, a handful of greens such as spinach, chard or parsley & a cup of water to make a super smoothie!
Don’t over eat! Again, it’s all about mindful eating and giving your body a chance to signal when it’s full. You shouldn’t feel hungry after a meal, but you want to avoid that uncomfortable ‘stuffed’ feeling!
These tips are also connected – doing one will help you with the other! For example if you drink your water before your meal and eat a higher proportion of raw fresh foods, you will also find it easier to not overeat!
